Gishwhes - only a few days left...
Gishwhes III
Greetings Ne'er-Do-Wells,
I don't want to scare you, but if you want to be a part of www.gishwhes.com, make haste as time's a tickin'. You've only got a few days left to hop on board.
Now, everyone is always asking me: A) "How do you grow such firm fingernails?" and B) "Why be a part of Gishwhes?".
To which I answer: A) I eat of lot of clamshells, and B) If you join Gishwhes you will amaze yourself. You will make incredible art, be placed on a killer team with awesome people, help change the world, and probably have a hand in breaking a Guinness World Record. Also, it's Fun with a capital "F!"
You will also probably develop a new appreciation for kale, find new obsessions and quite possibly wet your pants… Win, win, win!
Oh yeah, this year we're going to partner with Random Acts to radically change one unsuspecting person's life for the better.
Let's do this.
Misha Collins
Bon, va falloir que je me dépêche...

Attention Citizens of the planet,
I don't want to panic you, but I do want to tell you that you should be panicking.
We are closing the gates to Gishwhes III forever. If you don't get in on it now, you will miss it and forever be haunted by regret.
Question: Would you rather drown in the Sea of Tedious Normalcy or sail away on the Good Ship Gishwhes into uncharted waters of chaos, wonder and mayhem?
To continue with the arbitrary nautical metaphor: we're about to leave port, we're almost all on board.
Run. Fly. Swim.

Urgently,
Captain Collins

La liste des items!
Est-ce que, par hasard, quelqu'un peut la traduire?
- Spoiler:
- Items
Lucky Seven: Things to remember that can help you find your way to an amazing hunt and Vancouver!
Be Safe. There's a way to scavenge all of these items safely AND legally.
Commandments. Read the Commandments. Yes, again. And maybe one more time. Also, we may add or remove items and change the rules on you mid-hunt. So it is your responsibility to check the "Updates" page daily.
Scavenging. Some are in this to win, others are in this to be creative, others are in this simply to spend a week of their life with friends doing something different. Respect everyone, no matter how hard they're scavenging. Focus on creating art, changing yourself and maybe even the world, not the talents or dedication of your teammates.
Submission Quality.Judges are authorized to assign up to 50% additional bonus points to all items based on: (1) creativity, (2) uniqueness, (3) photo quality, and (4) did the team look like they had fun completing the item. Try to submit the best quality photos and videos, but if you don't have an amazing camera, don't worry about it. Make up for it with unique props, angles, or ideas to enhance the item. Think about how to do more than simply what the item asks. It will stand out for the judges. If the picture or concept is riveting, the judges will likely be riveted, and, well, you do the math.
Interpretation. Submit exactly what is asked for, not your reinterpretation of it. If we ask for a camel in the picture we don't want a drawing of a camel, or an inflatable camel. We want a real, hairy, spitting humped beast.
Creative Courageous Scavenging. Be creative and courageous on how you get props and materials for your items. Last year's participants proved you don't have to buy materials. They used friends, neighbors, donations and communities. They were also surprised how complete strangers thoroughly enjoyed helping them complete items. You can win simply by being clever and borrowing. You can get everything you need without going to a store; someone, somewhere has what you need. Ask and borrow. People will help you.
Do it. Have fun, make friends, push your boundaries and mud wrestle with your creative side.
ALL of the Items below should either be captured as "images" (which are photographs) or "videos". When you click "Submit", there will be instructions on how to submit the links to these images or videos. You should only use IMGUR and YOUTUBE.
IMPORTANT - Unless otherwise specified, ALL VIDEOS must be 30 seconds or less!
IMAGE: "GISHWHES Hugs the World!" We are going to break the Guinness World Record for the largest online photo album of people hugging. The current record is 69,004. DO NOT SUBMIT THIS ITEM ON THIS PAGE! Go to www.gishwhes.com/hugtheworld.php to submit an image of you hugging someone or someone you know hugging someone. Every hug image is worth 3 points and your team can earn up to 300 points. If everyone on your team submits 5 hugging images, that's an easy 225 points!300 points

IMAGE: You know the expression, “Beefcake?” As in, “He’s such a beefcake!” Have you ever really stopped to think about it? What exactly is a beefcake? It sounds good, right? I think we should have beefcake for dinner. Serve frosted beefcake at a family dinner where at least 3 generations are represented. 39 pointsSubmit
IMAGE: A stormtrooper at a laundry mat folding clothes. 56 pointsSubmit
